Make me a blessing

Memory takes me back in time when I was a member of a thriving church in the city of Saint John where I live, to a time when during the course of a a year we would have 1 or 2, even 3 maybe, visiting evangelists and sometimes they would stay with us upwards to a week or more. You would be in church almost every night for serfvice and it was a glorious time as we Pentecostals would say "in the Lord"...in the Lord. Then when it came to the last night, we, that is the choir would stand up and sing to the evangelist and it was always the same song..."make me a blessing, make me a blessing, to the evangelist it went,..."make him a blessing, and on it went. It made everyone feel really good. The stanza went "out of my life may Jesus shine..."
Sort of an oddity to find such sentiment today. In today's world its more like...give me a blessing; or what have You done for me lately. We live in a world that has so much and yet so little in their hearts and then there are people with out a chair to sit on. I heard about some Christian tribal people in India who haven't got very much of this world's goods and suffer tremendous persecution but they have Jesus in their hearts. I received an e-mail from a friend today who is so excited about church planting in a country that has been closed to the gospel and all he wants to be is a blessing to them. Make me a blessing, oh Savior I pray...it ought to be the cry of every Christian's heart.

Great word,Randall
This is yet another thing we take for granted, we are blessed daily but who do we bless in return.
Is it something we even think about doing, for most of us no,oh every once in awhile we see a need and will do something, but it is not something we go looking to do.

Just think what this world would be like if each of us set out looking for someone to bless today.
What would happen if it was something we did every day?
How God could use us if we were willing.

I agree with ya Coffee, We have had some AWESOME TIMES in the lord presence the last couple of months. WE NEED TO COME EXPECTING SOMETHING TO HAPPEN, AND WE HAVE BEEN. I WANT THE LORD TO MAKE ME A BLESSING ON TO HIM. MAY GOD RICHLY BLESS OUR YOU, LIFE IS NOT ALWAYS EASY FOR THEM, AND EVERYONE ELSE, BUT THE LORD IS ALWAYS WITH US WHERE EVERY WE SO. PRAY AND SEEK IS FACE MORE AND MORE EVERY DAY.
