Isaiah 51:6: "Lift up your eyes to the heavens, and look on the earth beneath. For the heavens will vanish away like smoke, The earth will grow old like a garment, And those who dwell in it will die in like manner; But My salvation will be forever, And My righteousness will not be abolished." Do you find these words scary or do they cause unsettling feelings in your heart and mind? Are you ready? We all should wake up and examine our own hearts and see if we are ready for that day. Some might say, even some of my readers that these words are not important any longer, that Jesus Christ was just a figure of history, that in fact He was just a man, albeit a good man but this is just a fable, maybe?
I want to declare to you this day that the Bible is true and all you have to do is to proclaim it, you do not have to prove it because it will prove itself! Here is what the great apostle Peter has to say in his first epistle to the pilgrims of the dispersion(those who had to flee Jerusalem under the great Roman persecution). Chapter 1 beginning at verse 3-13, "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4)to an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled and that does not fade away, reserved in heaven for you, 5)who are kept by the power of God through faith for salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. 6)In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you have been grieved by various trials, 7)that the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ, 8)whom having not seen you love. Though now you do not see Him, yet believing, you rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory, 9)receiving the end of your faith--the salvation of your souls. 10)Of this salvation the prophets have inquired and searched diligently (KJV) carefully(NKJV), who prophesied of the grace that would come to you, 11)searching what or what manner of time , the Spirit of Christ who was in them was indicating when He testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ and the glories that would follow. 12)To them it was revealed that, not to themselves, but to us they were ministering the things which now have been reported to you through those who have preached the gospel to you by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven---things which angels desire to look into. 13)Therefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and rest your hope fully upon the grace that is to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ."
What a portion of scripture this is! Do you have any doubts Christian after reading these verses found here in Peter's letter to these dispersed saints of God that Jesus is coming again and that it behooves us to prepare ourselves for His coming? This scripture passage is too much to leave for just one blog entry. I will be discussing it in future blogs.

Good Day Randall
As I am reading your blog today
I have been thinking of family and friends that do not know the truth
about Jesus Christ.
You asked if we were scared.
Yes I am very afraid...I have sons,a daughter, daughter inlaw and grandkids,a sister, bothers and their familys plus friends that do not know the truth. Some have part truths but they do not understand that all they have to do is asked Jesus to come in to their hearts and give their lives to Him.He will
take care of them, but first they have to know that He is there for them.
Your blogs help me to remember that I have to do more to help them see the truth.
Thank you for the past year's blogs.Everyone of them spoke to me about something that I needed at that time.
Thank you again for taking the time to do God's work .He has you doing these blogs for His glory and you are doing a great job at getting His word out there.
May you and your family have a blessed Christmas and great joy in the new year.
C.M.
Good morning Randall: this comment is not mine but is an e-mail sent to us from our sister-in-law [who is also a very good friend ] I think it so fits
Coffee
The following was written by Ben Stein and recited by him on CBS Sunday Morning
Commentary.
My confession:
I am a Jew, and every single one of my ancestors was Jewish. And it does not bother me even a little bit when people call those beautiful lit up, bejeweled trees, Christmas trees.. I don't feel threatened. I don't feel discriminated against. That's what they are: Christmas trees.
It doesn't bother me a bit when people say, 'Merry Christmas' to me. I don't think they are slighting me or getting ready to put me in a ghetto. In fact, I kind of like it It shows that we are all brothers and sisters celebrating this happy time of year. It doesn't bother me at all that there is a manger scene on display at a key intersection near my beach house in Malibu . If people want a crèche, it's just as fine with me as is the Menorah a few hundred yards away.
I don't like getting pushed around for being a Jew, and I don't think Christians like getting pushed around for being Christians. I think people who believe in God are sick and tired of getting pushed around, period. I have no idea where the concept came from that America is an explicitly atheist country. I can't find it in the Constitution and I don't like it being shoved down my throat.
Or maybe I can put it another way: where did the idea come from that we should worship celebrities and we aren't allowed to worship God as we understand Him? I guess that's a sign that I'm getting old, too. But there are a lot of us who are wondering where these celebrities came from and where the America we knew went to.
In light of the many jokes we send to one another for a laugh, this is a little different: This is not intended to be a joke; it's not funny, it's intended to get you thinking.
Billy Graham's daughter was interviewed on the Early Show and Jane Clayson asked her 'How could God let something like this happen?' (regarding Katrina) Anne Graham gave an extremely profound and insightful response. She said, 'I believe God is deeply saddened by this, just as we are, but for years we've been telling God to get out of our schools, to get out of our government and to get out of our lives. And being the gentleman He is, I believe He has calmly backed out. How can we expect God to give us His blessing and His protection if we demand He leave us alone?'
In light of recent events... terrorists attack, school shootings, etc. I think it started when Madeleine Murray O'Hare (she was murdered, her body found a few years ago) complained she didn't want prayer in our schools, and we said OK. Then someone said you better not read the Bible in school. The Bible says thou shalt not kill, thou shalt not steal, and love your neighbor as yourself. And we said OK.
Then Dr. Benjamin Spock said we shouldn't spank our children when they misbehave because their little personalities would be warped and we might damage their self-esteem (Dr Spock's son committed suicide). We said an expert should know what he's talking about. And we said OK.
Now we're asking ourselves why our children have no conscience, why they don't know right from wrong, and why it doesn't bother them to kill strangers, their classmates, and themselves.
Probably, if we think about it long and hard enough, we can figure it out. I think it has a great deal to do with 'WE REAP WHAT WE SOW.'
Funny how simple it is for people to trash God and then wonder why the world's going to hell Funny how we believe what the newspapers say, but question what the Bible says. Funny how you can send 'jokes' through e-mail and they spread like wildfire but when you start sending messages regarding the Lord, people think twice about sharing. Funny how lewd, crude, vulgar and obscene articles pass freely through cyberspace, but public discussion of God is suppressed in the school and workplace.
Are you laughing yet?
Funny how when you forward this message, you will not send it to many on your address list because you're not sure what they believe, or what they will think of you for sending it.
Funny how we can be more worried about what other people think of us than what God thinks of us.
Pass it on if you think it has merit. If not then just discard it..... no one will know you did. But, if you discard this thought process, don't sit back and complain about what bad shape the world is in.
My Best Regards, Honestly and respectfully,
Ben Stein
My comment today may seem a little strange but maybe they all seem strange who knows....don't get so wrapped up in Christmas, that you forget about CHRIST,HE won't forget about you
HAVE A MERRY CHRISTMAS
LOVE...Coffee
RANDALL, YOU ALWAYS DO A GOOD JOB ON THE BLOGS, AND I APPRECIATE IT FOR SURE.
I CAN RELATE TO C.M. I HAVE SEVERAL FAMILY MEMBERS THAT ARE NOT SERVING THE LORD, AND YES I AM REALLY AFRAID. AND WHEN I READ THE BLOG TODAY, I WAS THINKING ABOUT MY FAMILY, I AM SO SCARED, FOR THEIR SALVATION. I AM SURE THEY KNOW, BUT NOT SURE IF THEY BELIEVE. IS SCARES ME, IT MAKES ME WORRY FOR THEM.
WHEN I WAS 9 YEARS OLD I WAS GIVEN THIS CARD,AND IT OPENS AND IT SAYS " I AM SPECIAL " ON THE LEFT SIDE, AND ON THE RIGHT IT SAYS " LET US NOT BECOME WAERY IN DOING GOOD...WE WILL REAP A HARVEST IF WE DO NOT GIVE UP " GALATIONS 6:9
AND AT THE BOTTOM IS A PROMISE TO MYSELF I WILL KEEP DOING MY BEST, AND I REFUSE TO GIVE UP.
YES I STILL HAVE IT......IT IS FALLING APART BUT YA..
I WILL CONTINUE TO PRAY FOR MY FAMILY'S SALVATION AND I REFUSE TO GIVE UP. YES THERE HAS BEEN TIMES THAT I JUST WANNA GIVE UP, BUT I NEED TO BE STRONG AND REFUSE TO GIVE UP, BE STRONG FOR THE FAMILY AND TRUST IN THE LORD. AND GIVE HIM COMPLETE CONTROL, IT WILL BE DONE IN HIS TIME, NOT MINE.
THANKS AGAIN RANDALL, FOR SPEAKING INTO YOU LIVES. I LOOK FORWARD TO READING THE BLOGS. HAVE A GOOD CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR...
